The Hualalai Golf Course is the first Nicklaus design on Hawaii and is home to the prestigious PGA Champions Tour "Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai" event.
The 2011 Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai, a PGA TOUR Champions Tour tournament competition among all official money-event champions of the 2009 and 2010 seasons, winners of the majors since 2005 and eight professionals by invitation with 15 or more career victories, including one major, will be held January 18-23, 2011 at the Hualalai Resort. The golf competition will be held on the Hualalai Golf Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus, and tournament guests enjoy the beautiful Four Seasons Resort Hualalai at Historic Kaupulehu.
