Kaua'i Golf Courses and Resorts Earn Acclaim from Multiple Media Outlets

The Kaua'i Visitors Bureau announces several island golf courses and resorts have captured recent national awards from Golfweek, LINKS Magazine and Golf Range, as well as distinction from regional media outlets.

The Prince Course at Princeville Golf Club (No. 23), Kaua'i Lagoons Golf Club (No. 84) and Princeville Makai Golf Club (No. 86) were honored in Golfweek's annual "Top 100 Resort Courses" list, compiled by raters from across the country based on criteria such as routing, conditioning, memorability and variety of holes.

Poipu Bay Golf Course was included in the "Next 100" Resort Course ratings from Golfweek.

The St. Regis Princeville Resort on the island's North Shore was included in LINKS Magazine's "Top 25 Golf Resorts of the World" edition. The resort sits adjacent to Princeville Makai Golf Club, which features the 18-hole Makai course and the 9-hole Woods course. The newly expanded practice facility at The Prince Course, another North Shore layout featuring scintillating vistas of the Pacific Ocean, has been named to Golf Range Magazine's "Top-50 Golf Ranges" for Public Facilities for a second straight year.

Puakea Golf Course - a local favorite set at the base of the majestic Mount Ha'upu - recently earned "Best in Kaua'i" honors from This Week Kaua'i magazine and has been ranked as the No. 15 course in Hawaii by Golfweek.

"We are gratified that the superb golf courses and resorts continue to receive widespread critical recognition," says Sue Kanoho, Executive Director of the Kaua'i Visitors Bureau. "The island's beauty, history and quality of resort accommodation options, beaches and outdoor activities complement each other, providing experiences that draw visitors from around the world."
